| Brief Bio: | Steve, pictured above right, is a na(t)ive Texan. He received a B.S. from Stephen F. Austin University (like he needed more). After working two summers for the Forest Service in New Mexico and unable to find a real job, he got his Masters at University of Arkansas and his Ph.D. at the University of Georgia. Forest Health Protection, as part of their goal to employ the best and brightest, hired him anyway in 1991. He worked in the Pineville, LA field office until a decision was made to station an entomologist in Texas, and the other field office personnel unanimously voted to ship him out. Rumors of a romantic link with Rene Russo are unsubstantiated. |
